Young Achiever Awards – Environmental Category
The Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards recognise, encourage and reward young Tasmanians. Hydro Tasmania has sponsored the Environmental category of the awards for several years. Our Environmental Manager participates on the judging panel each year, providing expert advice and selecting award recipients. Our ongoing support of this award provides a strong reflection of our commitment to creating a sustainable future for our community.

Greening Australia
Hydro Tasmania and Greening Australia signed a three-year partnership last year, continuing a long and successful relationship. The agreement involves:
- core partnership of $112,000
- funding for Greening Australia priority projects - $142,000
- Greening Australia provides on-ground works and consultancy services for Hydro Tasmania priority projects.
The partnership has been renewed in recognition of Greening Australia's strength as Australia's largest community-based environmental organisation focused on landscape scale environmental sustainability.
